What is Avay?
Avay is the travel assistant that comes with every Getavay trip. You text Avay like a friend, and Avay answers with what it knows about your flight, hotel and plans.
Is Getavay a subscription?
No. You pay once for each trip and that is the whole cost. There is nothing recurring and nothing to cancel.
How long does Avay stay with me?
For the length of the plan you chose: up to 7, 14 or 30 days. Avay is with you from the day your trip starts until it ends.
Can I use WhatsApp?
Yes. Avay works on SMS and WhatsApp, and you can use whichever is easier where you are. Both go to the same Avay and the same trip.
Can Avay track my flight?
Yes. Add your flight and Avay keeps an eye on the status, terminal and gate, and reminds you when check-in opens and when it is time to leave.
Can Avay recommend things nearby?
Yes. Ask what is near your hotel or where to eat tonight. Avay suggests places, sends a photo when one is available, and gives you a map link.
Does Avay book travel?
No. Avay helps you with the trip you already booked. When plans change, Avay can find alternative flights and show you the options, but it does not purchase them for you.
Can Avay help when my plans change?
That is where Avay is most useful. Delays, cancellations, a gate change or a rainy afternoon: tell Avay what happened and it helps you figure out the next move.
